COMPATIBILITY
Know what works for you.
PrivatePlay helps run Windows games on a Mac, but game compatibility varies. Some titles need different graphics settings or do not run because of anti-cheat, launchers, or hardware requirements.
The current build has been tested on an Apple M2 Mac. Among Us from Epic reached gameplay, though it showed a lighting issue. Other games need testing, and Windows Steam support is experimental. Read the test notes.

PrivatePlay 0.1.3 is a free experimental build for Apple Silicon Macs. It has been tested on macOS 26. It is not Apple notarized, so macOS will ask you to approve opening it.

OPEN THE DOWNLOAD
Three steps to start.
- Unzip and move it.Open the downloaded ZIP and move PrivatePlay.app into Applications.
- Try opening it.Double-click the app. macOS may say it cannot verify the developer because this free build has not been notarized.
- Approve this app if you trust it.Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, then choose Open Anyway and confirm. Apple explains this manual exception.
This extra step does not disable Mac security for other apps. Apple has not checked this build for malware or tampering. Only open it if you trust the download source.
