PrivatePlay brings the tools, game library, and Windows settings together, while keeping your game accounts in the services you already use.

Get set up in the app

Find the required tools in Setup and install them from their official sources.

Find your Epic games

Sign in on Epic's own page, then browse the games you own through Legendary.

Know what is happening

Follow install progress, see recent activity, and manage each game's Wine setup.

Remove games when you are done

Uninstall an Epic game in PrivatePlay, or open Steam to remove a Steam game there.

GETTING STARTED

A clear path from download to play.

    Open PrivatePlay. Move the app to Applications and launch it.

  2. 02

    Follow Setup. Open the Mac installer, then choose Install missing tools.

  3. 03

    Connect Epic or Steam. Sign in with the service you use; Windows Steam remains experimental.

  4. 04

    Choose a game setup. Install a supported title, follow progress, and launch it.

Wine can run some Windows games on Mac. A game may still fail because of graphics, anti-cheat, or another launcher.

Opening this beta on macOS

  1. Unzip it and move PrivatePlay.app to Applications.
  2. Try opening the app. macOS may say it cannot verify the developer.
  3. If you trust the download, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
